Tuesday

While I worked at the church on odd jobs with Ray, Tim, Macky, Frances, Marion and Kyle, Christine and Jackson drove about an hour away to Everson, PA to visit Jamie (who suffered a stroke in May and is doing GREAT).  Jamie graduated from Meredith College with Christine.  They took the Turnpike and drove through a tunnel, it was like Cars 2!!!!  The drive was beautiful and it took them by many dairy farms that looked just like the little Fisher Price toy sets.  VBS went great, we had a great turn out, 23 kids, and for our recreation theme we visited Coney Island where we placed several water games to escape the heat.  Everyone has been so gracious and welcoming.  Ms. Irene who opened her home to us has been great and made us feel at home.  It is so hot up here just like most of the country right now and CJ had some problems sleeping in a house without A/C so we decided to get a room at the Quality Inn.  Everyone slept very well in a more conditioned space and we are very grateful to Ms. Irene for even offering to take us in.
