Friday

Tonight was the closing of Bible School. It was fun to see how cute the kids looked singing, and we had a good turn out of parents!! Jackson was adorable in his Bible School t-shirt and Statue of Liberty hat...C.J. slept through the whole event, but he got a t-shirt too! We certainly have been blessed by our church group we traveled here with this week and the sweet members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

Thursday

With all the work at the church finished, everyone had the morning off. We ate breakfast with everyone and then spent the morning at the pool. We ate lunch at a restaurant called "Hoss's" where they had a huge salad bar even with some stuff I would never think of putting on a salad, like hot mashed sweet potatoes. But, C.J. liked them! Then took off through the country for "Gravity Hill" a spot where your car rolls up hill...it was really neat. We rolled a golf ball up hill and other people poured out water to watch it roll up hill. Then we drove past dozens of windmills to the crash site of flight 93. There is a temporary memorial there now with a permanent one they are working on to be finished by September 11th of this year.

The area here is very pretty and reminds me of our mountains at home. The kids have been doing great. Everyone has really enjoyed spending time with them (at least that is what they tell us :)). Pastor Mike and Linda drove back home today. We missed them and hope Linda feels better soon!

At Bible School Jackson has just loved spending time with his group...it is wonderful to watch him praise, sing, and dance for God. Such a precious little boy. C.J. has also done his fair share of dancing. The praise time is their favorite!

Chris and I wrapped up recreation inside tonight because the heat is just unbearable...it was Broadway night for recreation, in keeping with the New York theme. Musical Chairs was a hit. The children here have just had the best time. And the members of the church have been so gracious and just really appreciate the love and encouragement we have shown them. Please pray for their church family.

Tomorrow night is the big finale please also pray that lots of the families come out. We are having a hot dog supper and ice cream sundaes and the kids are going to perform their songs, etc. Can't believe tomorrow is already Friday!
